The Chinese culture’s way to respond to changes is about the changing on the one hand and the unchanging on the other. The complete way to respond to changes is about allowing some things to change while holding on to others. What changes is the relation we have with the world; what remains unchanged is its spiritual substance. This substance that remains unchanged is what we call Dao.
